- Ensure the safety and security of attendees at various conventions.
- Act as the first point of contact for attendees and provide a welcoming and helpful presence.
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to identify and prevent potential security breaches.
- Respond quickly and appropriately to any security incidents and follow established protocols.
- Communicate effectively with team members and event staff to coordinate security efforts.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times.
- Follow and enforce all security procedures and protocols set by Allied Universal and the event organizers.
- Document any incidents or suspicious activity and report them to the appropriate parties.
- Provide exceptional customer service and assist attendees with any questions or concerns.
- Attend and participate in training and development sessions to enhance security skills and knowledge.
- Proactively identify potential security risks and take necessary actions to mitigate them.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and thorough records of all shift activities.
- Set up and take down security equipment as needed.
- Serve as a positive representative of Allied Universal at all times.
- Be willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Continuously strive for excellence in all aspects of the job.
Experience In Event Security: A Successful Candidate For This Position Should Have Prior Experience In Event Security, Preferably In Convention Or Large-Scale Event Settings. This Experience Should Include Knowledge Of Crowd Control, Emergency Response Procedures, And Threat Assessment.
Knowledge Of Security Protocols And Procedures: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Security Protocols And Procedures, Including Access Control, Surveillance, And Emergency Response. They Should Also Be Familiar With Local Laws And Regulations Related To Event Security.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For This Position. The Candidate Should Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Event Staff, Attendees, And Law Enforcement Personnel. They Should Also Be Able To De-Escalate Tense Situations And Handle Conflicts In A Professional Manner.
Physical Fitness And Agility: This Job Requires The Ability To Stand, Walk, And Patrol For Extended Periods Of Time. The Candidate Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Respond Quickly To Potential Security Threats. They Should Also Be Able To Lift And Move Heavy Objects If Necessary.
Security Certifications And Training: A Successful Candidate Should Have Relevant Security Certifications And Training, Such As A Valid Guard Card And Cpr/First Aid Certification. Additional Training In Areas Such As Crowd Management, Crisis Intervention, And Self-Defense Can Also Be Beneficial.
