In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safety and well-being of attendees at various events and conventions. - Ensure the safety and security of all attendees at events and conventions.
- Monitor and control access points to the venue, ensuring only authorized individuals are allowed entry.
- Conduct security screenings and searches to prevent prohibited items from entering the event.
- Maintain a visible presence and patrol the event area to deter any potential security threats.
- Respond quickly and appropriately to any security incidents or emergencies.
- Communicate effectively with event staff, organizers, and law enforcement to coordinate security efforts.
- Remain highly attentive and vigilant to identify and address any potential security concerns.
- Enforce event rules and regulations to maintain a safe and orderly environment.
- Provide exceptional customer service to attendees, addressing any concerns or inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
- Complete accurate and detailed incident reports and document any security-related incidents.
- Attend training and meetings to stay up-to-date on security procedures and protocols.
- Collaborate with other security team members to ensure a cohesive and efficient operation.
- Maintain a professional and positive attitude at all times, representing Allied Universal and our clients with integrity and excellence.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as all applicable laws and regulations.
Prior Experience In Event Security: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Event Security, Preferably In The Convention Industry. This Will Ensure They Are Familiar With The Unique Challenges And Protocols Of Securing Large Events.
Strong Communication And Customer Service Skills: Event Security Personnel Must Have Excellent Communication Skills To Interact With Event Attendees And Provide Customer Service. This Includes Handling Any Issues Or Concerns That May Arise In A Professional And Efficient Manner.
Knowledge Of Emergency Procedures: In The Event Of An Emergency, Such As A Medical Situation Or Security Threat, Event Security Personnel Must Be Able To Act Quickly And Follow Established Emergency Procedures. Candidates Should Have A Good Understanding Of These Procedures And Be Able To Remain Calm Under Pressure.
Physical Fitness And Stamina: Event Security Is A Physically Demanding Job That Often Requires Standing For Long Periods Of Time And Walking Long Distances. Candidates Should Be In Good Physical Condition To Handle The Demands Of The Job And Be Able To Work Long Shifts If Necessary.
Security Training And Certifications: Candidates Should Have Completed Basic Security Training And Have Any Necessary Certifications, Such As Cpr/Aed And First Aid. Additional Training In Crowd Control And De-Escalation Techniques Is Also Beneficial For This Role.
