1. Develop and implement IT asset and configuration management policies and procedures in line with industry best practices and company standards.
2. Maintain accurate records of all IT assets, including hardware, software, and licenses, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
3. Monitor and track all IT assets throughout their lifecycle, from acquisition to disposal.
4. Conduct regular audits to ensure the integrity and accuracy of asset and configuration data.
5. Identify and implement cost-saving measures for IT assets, including renegotiating contracts and optimizing inventory levels.
6. Collaborate with various teams to gather requirements and create reports on asset and configuration data.
7. Work closely with procurement and vendor management teams to ensure timely and accurate procurement of IT assets.
8. Manage and maintain the configuration management database (CMDB) to accurately reflect the status of all IT assets.
9. Identify and mitigate risks related to IT assets and configurations, including security and compliance risks.
10. Provide guidance and training to end-users on IT asset and configuration management processes and procedures.
11. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in IT asset and configuration management, and make recommendations for process improvements.
12. Facilitate communication and collaboration between different departments to ensure alignment and consistency in IT asset and configuration management processes.
13. Work with external vendors and partners to negotiate contracts and manage relationships related to IT assets and configurations.
14. Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning by ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of critical IT assets.
15. Continuously monitor and report on the performance of IT assets and configurations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
