- Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with various departments to develop and implement safety training programs for employees.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on all health and safety matters.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs and make recommendations for improvement.
- Investigate workplace accidents and incidents, and develop and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Keep up-to-date with new or revised health and safety laws and regulations, and ensure company compliance.
- Conduct safety inspections and walkthroughs to identify potential hazards and report findings to management.
- Coordinate and communicate with external regulatory agencies and emergency services as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to health and safety activities.
- Develop emergency response plans and conduct drills to ensure preparedness in case of emergencies.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and provide training to employees on emergency procedures.
- Collaborate with HR to develop and implement return-to-work programs for employees who have been injured.
- Participate in safety committees and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Promote a culture of safety and awareness throughout the organization.
A Bachelor's Degree In Occupational Health And Safety, Environmental Health, Or A Related Field.
At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Health And Safety Role, Preferably In The Insurance Or Financial Industry.
Knowledge And Understanding Of Relevant Health And Safety Regulations, Legislation, And Best Practices.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Train And Educate Employees On Health And Safety Procedures.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Identify Potential Hazards And Develop Effective Risk Management Strategies.
