- Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with local and national regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of the workplace to identify potential hazards and risks.
- Provide expert guidance and advice to management and employees on health and safety issues.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure that all safety protocols and procedures are being followed.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in legislation and industry best practices to continually improve the company's health and safety standards.
- Investigate and report on any workplace accidents or near-misses, and make recommendations for corrective actions.
- Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on health and safety practices.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of health and safety programs and initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to health and safety.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop risk management plans.
- Communicate with external agencies and authorities on health and safety matters.
- Participate in emergency planning and response activities.
- Proactively identify potential safety hazards and work with relevant stakeholders to address them.
- Champion a culture of safety and promote the well-being of all employees.
- Collaborate with human resources to ensure that all new employees receive proper health and safety training.
Bachelor's Degree In Occupational Health And Safety Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In A Health And Safety Role, Preferably In The Insurance Industry.
Knowledge Of Relevant Health And Safety Legislation And Regulations, Including Osha And Ansi Standards.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Train And Educate Employees On Safety Procedures.
Certification As A Certified Safety Professional (Csp) Or Occupational Health And Safety Technologist (Ohst) Is Preferred.
