  1. Perform routine maintenance and inspections on refrigeration and cooling systems to ensure proper functioning and efficiency.
  2. Identify and troubleshoot any issues or malfunctions with refrigeration equipment.
  3. Repair or replace defective components in refrigeration systems.
  4. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
  5. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while working with refrigeration systems.
  6. Keep up-to-date with advancements in refrigeration technology and techniques.
  7. Collaborate with other technicians and team members to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  8. Communicate with store management and staff regarding any refrigeration-related concerns or issues.
  9. Adhere to company policies and procedures, including proper handling and disposal of refrigerants.
  10. Provide exceptional customer service and strive to meet and exceed customer expectations.
  11. Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  12. Assist with installation and commissioning of new refrigeration systems.
  13. Maintain an organized and clean work environment.
  14. Adhere to company standards for quality and workmanship.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications

  • Technical Expertise In Refrigeration Systems: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Strong Knowledge And Experience In Installing, Maintaining, And Repairing Various Types Of Refrigeration Systems Commonly Used In Grocery Stores, Such As Walk-In Freezers And Coolers, Display Cases, And Hvac Units.

  • Certification In Refrigeration: A Valid Certification From A Recognized Institution Or Organization, Such As The Environmental Protection Agency (Epa) Or The National Institute For Certification In Engineering Technologies (Nicet), Is Essential For This Role.

  • Troubleshooting And Problem-Solving Skills: A Refrigeration Technician At Albertsons Must Possess Excellent Troubleshooting Abilities To Identify And Resolve Issues With Refrigeration Systems In A Timely And Efficient Manner. This Includes Being Able To Diagnose And Repair Mechanical, Electrical, And Control System Problems.

  • Attention To Detail And Safety: Due To The Highly Technical Nature Of The Job, Candidates Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail And Be Able To Follow Safety Protocols To Ensure The Proper Functioning And Safety Of Refrigeration Equipment.

  • Experience In A Similar Role: Previous Work Experience As A Refrigeration Technician In A Grocery Store Or Similar Environment Is Highly Desirable. This Includes Familiarity With Industry-Specific Regulations And Codes, As Well As The Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced And Customer-Focused Environment.
