  1. Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
  2. Prepare and label prescription orders in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  3. Maintain accurate patient and prescription records.
  4. Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries regarding medications and pharmacy services.
  5. Verify insurance information and process claims.
  6. Collaborate with pharmacists to ensure timely and accurate medication delivery.
  7. Stock and maintain inventory of medications and supplies.
  8. Follow proper procedures for handling and disposing of expired or damaged medications.
  9. Provide excellent customer service to patients by addressing their needs and concerns.
  10. Adhere to all safety and sanitation protocols to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  11. Keep up-to-date with new medications and changes in pharmacy regulations.
  12. Assist in training and mentoring new pharmacy technicians.
  13. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure proper patient care.
  14. Perform other related duties as assigned by the pharmacy manager.

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Is Typically Required For A Pharmacy Technician Position At Albertsons. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Basic Level Of Education And Is Able To Handle The Responsibilities Of The Job.

  • State Certification: Most States Require Pharmacy Technicians To Be Certified. Candidates Must Pass An Exam And Complete A Formal Training Program To Become Certified. Albertsons May Require Candidates To Be Certified In The State Where The Store Is Located.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Pharmacy Operations: Pharmacy Technicians Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Pharmacy Operations, Including Prescription Processing, Inventory Management, And Insurance Billing. Candidates Should Have Previous Experience Working In A Pharmacy Or Have Completed A Pharmacy Technician Training Program.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Pharmacy Technicians Must Have Excellent Communication Skills In Order To Interact With Customers, Pharmacists, And Other Healthcare Professionals. They Must Be Able To Explain Medication Instructions And Answer Any Questions That Customers May Have.

  • Attention To Detail: Pharmacy Technicians Are Responsible For Accurately Filling Prescriptions And Maintaining Inventory. They Must Have A High Level Of Attention To Detail To Ensure That Medications Are Dispensed Correctly And That Inventory Levels Are Accurate. Candidates Should Also Have Strong Organizational Skills To Manage Multiple Tasks And Prioritize Their Workload Effectively.
