- Stocking shelves with merchandise: The primary responsibility of a Night Stocker is to ensure that all shelves and displays are fully stocked with merchandise by the time the store opens in the morning. This includes unloading and organizing merchandise from deliveries, restocking items that have been sold, and arranging products in a visually appealing manner.
- Maintaining inventory levels: The Night Stocker will be responsible for keeping track of inventory levels and notifying management when items are running low. This may involve conducting inventory counts and communicating with vendors to ensure timely restocking of products.
- Organizing and rotating products: It is the Night Stocker's responsibility to ensure that products are organized and rotated according to the store's guidelines. This includes checking expiration dates, removing damaged or expired items, and arranging products in a way that promotes efficient restocking.
- Cleaning and maintaining work area: As a Night Stocker, you will be expected to keep your work area clean and organized. This may include sweeping and mopping floors, organizing backroom storage, and breaking down empty boxes.
