- Develop and implement strategic category plans to drive sales and profitability for the national category portfolio.
- Monitor industry trends and competition to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and execution of category plans.
- Analyze sales data and consumer insights to make informed decisions on product assortment and pricing.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and pricing.
- Create and manage budgets for the national category portfolio, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Lead and mentor a team of category managers to achieve individual and team goals.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate category performance, making adjustments as needed to meet business objectives.
- Work closely with marketing and advertising teams to develop and execute promotional strategies for the national category portfolio.
- Represent the company at industry events and conferences to stay updated on market trends and network with industry professionals.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Collaborate with store operations to ensure consistency and excellence in the in-store customer experience.
- Stay updated on consumer preferences and adjust category plans accordingly to meet customer needs.
- Communicate effectively with senior management to provide updates on category performance and strategies.
- Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Marketing, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In A Senior Leadership Role, Preferably In The Retail Or Grocery Industry.
Proven Track Record Of Successfully Managing And Growing A Category Or Department Within A Retail Organization.
Strong Analytical Skills And Experience In Data-Driven Decision Making.
Excellent Communication And Negotiation Skills, With The Ability To Build Relationships And Collaborate With Internal And External Stakeholders.
