- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the frozen food department.
- Ensure that all frozen food products are of high-quality and meet food safety standards.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability of the frozen food department.
- Train and mentor team members on proper handling, storage, and rotation of frozen food products.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the purchasing department to ensure an adequate supply of products.
- Create and maintain schedules for department staff, ensuring adequate coverage and efficient use of labor.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Address and resolve any customer complaints or concerns regarding frozen food products.
- Work closely with vendors to negotiate pricing, promotions, and product selection to meet the needs of customers.
- Monitor and track department sales, margins, and expenses to ensure profitability goals are met.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and new products in the frozen food market.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and merchandising, to develop effective strategies and promotions for the frozen food department.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication among team members.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching to team members.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as federal, state, and local regulations.
Experience In Frozen Food Management: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In Managing Frozen Food Departments, Preferably In A Retail Setting. This Experience Should Include Knowledge Of Inventory Management, Ordering, And Merchandising.
Knowledge Of Food Safety Regulations: As A Supervisor, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Ensuring That All Food Safety Regulations And Standards Are Met Within The Frozen Food Department. Therefore, Knowledge Of Food Safety Protocols, Including Temperature Control, Proper Storage, And Labeling, Is Crucial.
Strong Leadership Skills: The Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Effectively Managing A Team And Leading Them Towards Achieving Department Goals. This Includes The Ability To Delegate Tasks, Provide Constructive Feedback, And Resolve Conflicts Within The Team.
