Job Description

  1. Safely and efficiently operate a commercial motor vehicle in accordance with all traffic laws and company policies.
  2. Transport goods from distribution centers to stores in a timely and efficient manner.
  3. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of truck and trailer to ensure safe operation and report any issues or concerns.
  4. Follow designated routes and delivery schedules to ensure on-time delivery of goods.
  5. Communicate effectively with dispatch and store personnel to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues that may arise.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
  7. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to safety protocols and transportation regulations.
  8. Ensure proper handling and storage of goods to prevent damage during transportation.
  9. Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining a professional and courteous attitude towards store personnel and customers.
  10. Collaborate with warehouse and store personnel to load and unload goods and assist with any necessary tasks.
  11. Report any incidents, accidents, or traffic violations to management immediately.
  12. Maintain a clean and organized truck and report any maintenance needs to the appropriate department.
  13. Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and requirements.
  14. Continuously monitor traffic and weather conditions and adjust driving accordingly to ensure safe operation of the vehicle.
  15. Attend safety meetings and training sessions as required by the company.
  16. Demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to the company's values and goals.

  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (Cdl): The Most Essential Qualification For A Cdl Truck Driver Job At Albertsons Is Possessing A Valid Cdl, Which Allows Drivers To Operate Large Commercial Vehicles.
