  1. Design and decorate cakes according to customer requests and bakery standards.
  2. Use creativity and skill to create visually stunning and delicious cakes.
  3. Maintain a high level of quality and consistency in all cake decorations.
  4. Stay updated on current baking and decorating trends to provide customers with unique and modern designs.
  5. Work closely with the bakery team to ensure timely and efficient production of cakes.
  6. Keep the cake display area clean, organized, and visually appealing.
  7. Assist in inventory management by tracking and reporting cake supplies and ingredients.
  8. Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines while handling and decorating cakes.
  9. Communicate effectively with customers to understand their cake design preferences and provide recommendations.
  10. Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
  11. Collaborate with the bakery manager to develop new and innovative cake designs.
  12. Train and mentor new cake decorators on bakery techniques and standards.
  13. Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
  14. Maintain a positive and friendly attitude towards customers and coworkers.
  15. Continuously strive to improve skills and techniques in cake decorating.

Job Qualifications

  • Prior Experience In Cake Decorating: A Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience In Cake Decorating Is Preferred For This Position. This Includes Knowledge Of Different Decorating Techniques, Tools, And Ingredients.

  • Creativity And Attention To Detail: The Ability To Create Visually Appealing And Unique Designs On Cakes Is A Must For This Role. Attention To Detail Is Crucial In Order To Ensure All Cakes Are Decorated Accurately And Meet Customer Expectations.

  • Knowledge Of Food Safety And Sanitation: As A Cake Decorator, It Is Important To Follow Food Safety And Sanitation Guidelines To Maintain A Safe And Clean Working Environment. Knowledge Of Proper Food Handling And Storage Is Necessary To Prevent Any Food-Borne Illnesses.

  • Excellent Customer Service Skills: Cake Decorators At Albertsons Are Required To Interact With Customers On A Daily Basis. Good Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Important To Understand And Fulfill Customer Requests And Provide A Positive Shopping Experience.

  • Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: Albertsons Is A Busy Grocery Store, And The Bakery Department Can Get Busy During Peak Hours. A Cake Decorator Should Be Able To Work Efficiently And Prioritize Tasks In A Fast-Paced Environment To Meet Customer Demands.
