Job Description

AEC SLC is supportive of student education through experiential development. We are currently looking for an intern to support various improvement projects in our Manufacturing Engineering department. Work with Management and represented personnel to improve hazard recognition and human performance as they relate to safety. Assist in safety compliance audits and report findings and assist in development of corrective action plans. Conduct field surveys and develop JSA's to determine site-specific safety requirements such as equipment specifications, proper personal protective equipment, and safety training. Updating Lock out Tag out procedures. Updating machine-specific safety instructions. Researching and updating templates for safety training. Hazardous Communication labeling. Improve basic EHS forms, work instructions and SDS database. Data collection and analysis to design and/or monitor the effectiveness of EHS programs and initiatives.

Job Qualifications
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher

  • Must be self-motivated and able to work with little direction

  • Must be enrolled in a 4 year Occupational Health and Safety program in Junior or Senior standing
