Job Description

Provide budget and accounting support, assist in the formulation, integration and reconciliation of funding and budgetary documents using the Enterprise Budget and Accounting System (EBAS) and other internal financial management systems. Support budget analysts and budget officer during NDU’s annual fiscal year closing in accordance with directives from OMB, OSD, DFAS, and NDU internal procedures and guidance. Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports on budget progress and execution, and assisting in successful fiscal year-end execution. These actions may consist of studies, monthly/quarterly/annual account reviews, and analyses. Assist in analyzing spending trends for monthly Working Program Budget Advisory Committee meetings using EBAS reports and other DFAS systems reports. Assist activity budget analysts in developing and monitoring their budgets and preparing any unfinanced requirements for consideration by the leadership. Provide custodial special cleaning cost to agencies requiring use of the National Defense University’s facilities in support of events, conferences, and V.I.P. visits to NDU. Track all custodial special cleanings requirements while utilizing Microsoft excel and PowerPoint tools to record the monthly, quarterly and annual reimbursable and non-reimbursable reports.
