Job Description

The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist is responsible for supporting quality improvement initiatives around drug utilization management, medication adherence, and prescribing efficiency. The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist identifies areas in which to improve medication-related utilization management, and partners with providers and other members of the health care team to drive both clinical and cost outcomes. The position supports the population health strategy of ensuring the most efficient use of health care resources to improve the health of our managed populations. Ensures Safe and effective Pharmacotherapy.

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years pharmacist experience

  • Residency, fellowship or equivalent hospital experience preferred.

  • Familiar with the computer medication order entry process
