As a Lead CICS Systems Programmer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our CICS systems to ensure the efficient and effective operation of our mainframe environment.   1. Design and implement CICS systems to support the efficient operation of our mainframe environment.
  2. Maintain and optimize existing CICS systems to ensure high performance and availability.
  3. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or errors related to CICS systems.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement improvements to our CICS environment.
  5. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to CICS systems and make recommendations for their implementation.
  6. Develop and maintain technical documentation for CICS systems and processes.
  7. Lead and mentor junior CICS systems programmers, providing guidance and support as needed.
  8. Perform regular maintenance and upgrades of CICS systems to ensure they are up-to-date and secure.
  9. Monitor system performance and make necessary adjustments to optimize resource utilization.
  10. Proactively identify and address potential issues or risks related to CICS systems.
  11. Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for CICS systems.
  12. Collaborate with vendors and third-party providers to troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to CICS systems.
  13. Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to provide updates on system changes or issues.
  14. Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations related to CICS systems.
  15. Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and procedures related to CICS systems and implement them as needed.

  • Extensive Experience With Cics Systems: The Ideal Candidate For A Lead Cics Systems Programmer Job At Adp Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Cics Systems And Their Architecture. They Should Have A Strong Knowledge Of Cics Commands, Utilities, And Troubleshooting Techniques.

  • Proficiency In Mainframe Technologies: The Lead Cics Systems Programmer Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Mainframe Technologies And Their Integration With Cics. This Includes Working Knowledge Of Z/Os, Jcl, Vsam, And Other Mainframe Components.

  • Strong Problem-Solving Skills: As A Lead Systems Programmer, The Candidate Should Have The Ability To Identify And Resolve Complex Issues Related To Cics Systems. They Should Have A Logical And Analytical Approach To Problem-Solving And Be Able To Work Under Pressure To Meet Tight Deadlines.

  • Team Management Skills: This Role Requires The Candidate To Lead A Team Of Cics Systems Programmers And Collaborate With Other Teams And Stakeholders. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience In Managing And Mentoring A Team, Delegating Tasks, And Ensuring Timely Completion Of Projects.

  • Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Lead Cics Systems Programmer, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Communicating Technical Information To Non-Technical Stakeholders. They Should Have Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Convey Complex Information In A Clear And Concise Manner.
