Internal Audit Intern

At ADP-Automatic Data Processing, we are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Internal Audit Intern to join our growing team. Our ideal candidate is a highly motivated self-starter who takes initiative and works independently with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience and insight into the role of Internal Audit in a fast-paced corporate environment.The ideal Internal Audit Intern will possess a strong academic background in accounting and auditing and demonstrate the analytical and problem-solving skills necessary to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls. The ideal candidate will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to interact positively with personnel at all levels of the organization. Additionally, the successful candidate should have proficient computer skills with the ability to work with spreadsheet and database software.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist in the preparation of audit reports, work papers, and other audit-related documents.
2. Analyze financial and operational data to identify potential risks and areas of non-compliance.
3. Develop and maintain relationships with personnel at all levels of the organization.
4. Identify and document internal controls in order to evaluate their effectiveness.
5. Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
6. Assist in the implementation of corrective action plans.
7. Provide support to external auditors as needed.
8. Monitor and maintain audit systems and databases.
9. Prepare and maintain audit schedules.
10. Participate in meetings and training sessions related to internal audit.
