- Receive and inspect all incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and quality of products.
- Organize and maintain inventory in a neat and orderly manner, utilizing proper storage techniques.
- Prepare and package products for distribution to stores, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of delivery trucks, utilizing proper safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment at all times.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and report any discrepancies to management.
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track and document inventory movement.
- Collaborate with other team members to fulfill orders and ensure timely delivery to stores.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, vendors, and other internal departments.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Assist in training new warehouse staff and provide guidance and support when needed.
- Identify and report any issues or opportunities for improvement in warehouse processes.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while representing Ace Hardware.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Is Often Required For A Warehouse Specialist Position At Ace Hardware. This Ensures That Candidates Have A Basic Level Of Education And Are Able To Perform Basic Math And Reading Tasks.
Previous Warehouse Experience: Candidates Should Have Previous Experience Working In A Warehouse Environment. This Could Include Experience In Receiving, Stocking, And Shipping Products, Operating Forklifts And Other Warehouse Equipment, And Maintaining Inventory Records.
Forklift Certification: Many Warehouses, Including Those At Ace Hardware, Require Forklift Certification For Their Warehouse Specialists. This Ensures That Candidates Have The Necessary Skills And Knowledge To Safely Operate Forklifts And Other Heavy Machinery.
