- Receive and process incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and proper labeling
- Organize and maintain inventory in an efficient and logical manner
- Assist with stocking and restocking shelves and displays in the store
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
- Conduct regular inventory checks to identify and report any discrepancies or shortages
- Prepare orders for delivery in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Assist with loading and unloading of delivery trucks
- Keep warehouse clean, organized, and free of safety hazards
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries
- Participate in training and development opportunities to improve warehouse knowledge and skills
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while interacting with customers and colleagues.
Experience In Warehouse Operations: A Successful Warehouse Specialist At Ace Hardware Must Have Prior Experience Working In A Warehouse Setting, Including Knowledge Of Inventory Management, Material Handling, And Shipping And Receiving Processes.
Forklift Certification: This Position Requires The Operation Of A Forklift To Move And Store Merchandise. A Warehouse Specialist Should Be Certified And Have Experience Operating A Forklift.
Attention To Detail: Accuracy Is Crucial In A Warehouse Setting, As Merchandise Must Be Properly Identified, Counted, And Organized. A Warehouse Specialist Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail To Ensure Inventory Is Properly Managed.
Physical Fitness: This Job Requires Frequent Lifting, Bending, And Standing For Long Periods. Candidates Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Handle The Physical Demands Of The Job.
Strong Communication Skills: A Warehouse Specialist Must Be Able To Communicate Effectively With Team Members And Supervisors In A Fast-Paced Environment. This Includes The Ability To Follow Instructions, Ask For Clarification When Needed, And Report Any Issues Or Concerns Promptly.
