  1. Timely and accurate shipment and receipt of merchandise: The primary responsibility of the Shipping & Receiving Clerk will be to ensure that all merchandise is shipped and received in a timely and accurate manner. This includes verifying quantities, inspecting for damage, and updating inventory records.
  2. Maintain organized and efficient shipping and receiving area: The Shipping & Receiving Clerk will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area, including properly storing and labeling merchandise, and ensuring all shipping and receiving equipment is in good working condition.
  3. Coordinate with suppliers and carriers: The candidate will be responsible for communicating with suppliers and carriers to schedule deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise during the shipping and receiving process.
  4. Problem-solving and troubleshooting: The individual must have a strong problem-solving mindset and be able to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the shipping and receiving process.
  5. Attention to detail: The candidate must have excellent attention to detail to ensure that all merchandise is accurately received, shipped, and recorded in inventory.
  6. Record-keeping and documentation: The Shipping & Receiving Clerk will be responsible for maintaining accurate records and documentation of all shipments and receipts. This includes creating and updating inventory records and completing necessary paperwork.
  7. Adhere to safety protocols: The individual must follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe and efficient working environment in the shipping and receiving area.
  8. Assist with inventory management: The candidate will work closely with the inventory team to assist with inventory management, including conducting inventory audits and cycle counts.
  9. Team player: The Shipping & Receiving Clerk will work closely with other team members in different departments, such as purchasing and sales, to ensure the smooth operation of the business. A positive attitude and willingness to collaborate are essential.
