Welcome to Ace Hardware's Seasonal Garden Center! We are currently seeking enthusiastic and hardworking individuals to join our team for the upcoming spring and summer season. As a member of our Garden Center team, you will play an essential role in providing exceptional customer service, maintaining the appearance of our garden center, and ensuring our customers have a positive experience. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for gardening, enjoy working outdoors, and have a strong work ethic. If you possess these qualities and are eager to be a part of our team, we would love to hear from you!

  1. Greet and welcome customers to the Seasonal Garden Center with a friendly and positive attitude.
  2. Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their gardening needs, answering questions, and offering advice.
  3. Maintain a neat and organized appearance of the Garden Center by restocking shelves, arranging displays, and keeping work areas clean and tidy.
  4. Use strong product knowledge to assist customers in finding the right gardening supplies and plants for their needs.
  5. Operate cash registers and handle transactions accurately.
  6. Ensure the safety and security of all customers and employees by following company policies and procedures.
  7. Assist in receiving and stocking inventory, as well as conducting inventory counts.
  8. Educate customers on proper gardening techniques and offer tips for maintaining healthy plants.
  9. Work collaboratively with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  10. Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents and maintain a safe work environment.
  11. Continuously learn about new gardening products and trends to provide customers with up-to-date information.
  12. Communicate any customer feedback or concerns to the appropriate parties.
  13. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times, representing the company in a positive light.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned by the Garden Center Manager.

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge Of Gardening And Horticulture: A Strong Understanding Of Plants, Flowers, And Gardening Techniques Is Essential For A Seasonal Garden Center Job At Ace Hardware. This Includes Knowledge Of Plant Care, Soil Types, And Pest Control.

  • Customer Service Skills: As A Seasonal Garden Center Employee, You Will Be Interacting With Customers On A Daily Basis. Excellent Customer Service Skills, Including Communication And Problem-Solving Abilities, Are Crucial For This Role.
