  1. Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, creating a positive first impression of the store.
  2. Assist customers in finding the products they need and provide recommendations based on their specific needs.
  3. Handle cash and credit transactions accurately and efficiently.
  4. Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, ensuring shelves are fully stocked and displays are appealing to customers.
  5. Build and maintain relationships with customers, providing exceptional customer service and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
  6. Stay knowledgeable about current sales, promotions, and store policies to effectively communicate them to customers.
  7. Continuously learn about new and existing products to better assist customers and increase sales.
  8. Collaborate with team members to achieve store sales goals and provide a positive work environment.
  9. Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards customers and team members.
  10. Follow safety procedures and proper handling of products to ensure the safety of customers and team members.
  11. Attend training sessions and meetings to stay updated on company policies, procedures, and products.
  12. Proactively identify and resolve any customer complaints or issues, escalating to management if necessary.
  13. Operate store equipment, such as cash registers and barcode scanners, accurately and efficiently.
  14. Help with inventory management, including restocking shelves and conducting inventory counts.
  15. Adhere to company dress code and maintain a neat and professional appearance.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: A Sales Associate At Ace Hardware Should Possess Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills To Effectively Interact With Customers And Colleagues.

  • Knowledge Of Hardware Products: As A Sales Associate, It Is Important To Have A Good Understanding Of The Different Hardware Products Sold At Ace Hardware. This Includes Knowledge Of Tools, Building Materials, And Home Improvement Products.

  • Customer Service Oriented: A Sales Associate Should Have A Customer-Centric Approach And Be Able To Provide Excellent Customer Service. This Includes Being Friendly, Approachable, And Knowledgeable About The Products In Order To Assist Customers With Their Needs.

  • Sales Experience: Previous Experience In A Sales Role, Preferably In The Retail Industry, Is Desirable For A Sales Associate At Ace Hardware. This Will Demonstrate The Ability To Meet Sales Targets And Provide Outstanding Customer Service.

  • Physical Stamina: The Job Of A Sales Associate At Ace Hardware Involves Standing For Long Periods, Lifting And Carrying Heavy Items, And Being On Your Feet For Extended Periods Of Time. Therefore, Physical Stamina And The Ability To Handle The Physical Demands Of The Job Are Important Qualifications.
