Welcome to Ace Hardware! We are a locally-owned and operated hardware store that prides ourselves on providing exceptional customer service and quality products. Our team is currently seeking a friendly and knowledgeable Retail Sales Associate & STIHL Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to interact with customers and assist them in finding the perfect products for their needs. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to become a certified STIHL technician, gaining valuable skills and knowledge in the outdoor power equipment industry.   1. Greet and welcome customers to the store with a friendly and positive attitude.
  2. Provide exceptional customer service by listening to and understanding customers' needs and offering helpful and knowledgeable product recommendations.
  3. Accurately and efficiently process customer transactions, including cash, credit, and check payments.
  4. Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, ensuring products are properly stocked and displayed.
  5. Demonstrate and promote STIHL products to customers, highlighting their features and benefits.
  6. Become a certified STIHL technician by completing training and obtaining necessary certifications.
  7. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on STIHL equipment according to manufacturer guidelines.
  8. Keep up-to-date on product knowledge and industry trends to effectively assist customers.
  9. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service.
  10. Uphold company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.
  11. Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner.
  12. Continuously strive to improve sales techniques and product knowledge.
  13. Communicate with management about inventory needs and customer feedback.
  14. Attend and participate in training and educational opportunities to enhance job knowledge and skills.
  15. Maintain a positive and professional attitude to promote a welcoming and inviting store environment.

  • Knowledge Of Stihl Products: A Retail Sales Associate & Stihl Technician At Ace Hardware Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Stihl Products, Including Their Features, Uses, And Maintenance.

  • Customer Service Skills: This Position Requires Excellent Customer Service Skills To Assist Customers With Their Inquiries, Provide Product Recommendations, And Handle Any Concerns Or Complaints In A Professional Manner.

  • Sales Experience: As A Retail Sales Associate, The Individual Should Have Experience In Sales And Be Able To Meet Sales Targets, Upsell Products, And Provide Excellent Customer Service To Drive Sales.

  • Technical Skills: As A Stihl Technician, The Individual Should Have Technical Knowledge And Experience In Repairing And Maintaining Stihl Equipment. This Includes Knowledge Of Small Engines, Power Tools, And Mechanical Troubleshooting Skills.

  • Physical Ability: This Job May Require Lifting Heavy Items, Standing For Long Periods, And Performing Physically Demanding Tasks. Therefore, Physical Fitness And The Ability To Perform These Tasks Safely And Efficiently Are Important Qualifications For This Role.
