Job Description

Are you a horse lover with a passion for customer service? We are seeking a Retail Equine Associate to join our team at Ace Hardware! As a member of our equine department, you will have the opportunity to help customers find the perfect products for their horses, as well as share your knowledge and expertise in the equine industry. We are looking for someone who is personable, knowledgeable, and has a strong work ethic. If you love horses and have a knack for retail, we want to hear from you!

  1. Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing exceptional customer service at all times.
  2. Utilize knowledge and expertise in the equine industry to assist customers in finding the best products for their horses.
  3. Maintain a thorough understanding of all products in the equine department and be able to effectively communicate their features and benefits to customers.
  4. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and new products, and make recommendations to customers accordingly.
  5. Handle cash and credit transactions accurately and efficiently.
  6. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including restocking shelves and ensuring products are properly labeled and displayed.
  7. Assist in receiving and stocking merchandise, including heavy lifting and carrying of items.
  8. Collaborate with team members to ensure all tasks and responsibilities are completed in a timely manner.
  9. Provide support to other departments as needed.
  10. Continuously strive to meet and exceed sales goals and customer satisfaction targets.
  11. Represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
  12. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.
  13. Actively seek to improve knowledge and skills through training and development opportunities.
  14. Maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude, promoting a fun and welcoming atmosphere for customers.
  15. Other duties as assigned by management.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Effective Communication Is Essential For A Retail Equine Associate To Interact With Customers, As Well As Colleagues And Suppliers. They Should Be Able To Communicate Clearly And Professionally In Person, Over The Phone, And Through Written Communication.

  • Equine Industry Knowledge: Candidates For This Position Should Have A Passion For And Knowledge Of The Equine Industry.
