1. Greet and welcome customers with a friendly and positive attitude.
2. Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using a cash register or other point-of-sale system.
3. Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
4. Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including restocking bags, receipt paper, and other supplies.
5. Provide excellent customer service by addressing any questions or concerns customers may have.
6. Upsell and cross-sell products to customers, as needed.
7. Keep updated on current promotions and sales to effectively communicate them to customers.
8. Collaborate with other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient checkout process.
9. Follow all safety and security procedures to protect company assets and minimize losses.
10. Assist in maintaining store cleanliness and organization, including restocking shelves and cleaning registers.
11. Attend trainings and meetings to stay informed about company policies and procedures.
12. Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner.
13. Perform opening and closing duties, including counting and balancing cash drawers.
14. Continuously strive to meet and exceed sales goals and customer satisfaction metrics.
15. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to cash handling and customer service.
16. Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and inventory, to ensure efficient store operations.
17. Maintain a positive and professional attitude, even during busy and stressful periods.
18. Identify and report any discrepancies or issues with transactions or inventory.
19. Assist in training new cashiers and providing ongoing support and guidance.
20. Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and enhance the customer experience.
