- Monitor and adhere to all cash handling and security procedures.

Cash Handling Experience: A Successful Candidate For This Role Should Have Previous Experience Handling Cash Transactions And Operating A Cash Register.
Basic Math Skills: As A Cashier, Accuracy In Calculating Totals And Providing Correct Change Is Essential. Therefore, Strong Basic Math Skills Are A Must For This Position.
Customer Service Skills: Cashiers Are Often The First And Last Point Of Contact For Customers, So Excellent Customer Service Skills Are Necessary. This Includes Being Friendly, Approachable, And Able To Handle Customer Inquiries Or Complaints In A Professional Manner.
Attention To Detail: Cashiers Must Be Detail-Oriented And Able To Spot Any Discrepancies In Transactions Or Inventory. This Requires A High Level Of Accuracy And The Ability To Follow Procedures Carefully.
Availability And Flexibility: Part-Time Cashiers At Ace Hardware May Be Required To Work Evenings, Weekends, And Holidays. Therefore, Candidates Must Be Available And Willing To Work A Flexible Schedule To Meet The Needs Of The Business.
