- Manage and maintain product inventory levels at multiple store locations
- Create visually appealing displays and product layouts to attract and engage customers
- Work closely with store managers to understand and meet customer demand and product preferences
- Conduct regular store visits to assess product placement and make necessary adjustments
- Collaborate with the buying team to ensure timely and accurate product deliveries
- Monitor and track sales data to identify trends and make recommendations for product assortment
- Communicate effectively with store staff to ensure proper product placement and restocking procedures are followed
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any product inquiries or issues promptly and efficiently
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor products to identify opportunities for improvement
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times.
Knowledge Of Retail Merchandising Principles: A Merchandising Representative At Ace Hardware Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Retail Merchandising, Including Product Placement, Inventory Management, And Promotional Strategies.
Excellent Communication Skills: The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Store Managers, Team Members, And Customers Is Essential For A Merchandising Representative. This Role Requires Clear And Concise Communication To Ensure Product Displays Are Set Up Correctly And Promotions Are Executed As Planned.
Attention To Detail: As A Merchandising Representative, Attention To Detail Is Crucial In Ensuring Accurate Product Placement And Inventory Levels. This Role Requires Carefully Following Planograms And Ensuring That All Products Are Displayed Correctly.
Physical Stamina: This Job May Require Lifting And Moving Heavy Items, Standing For Long Periods, And Frequent Bending And Reaching. A Merchandising Representative Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Handle The Physical Demands Of The Job.
Customer Service Skills: While Primarily Responsible For Merchandising, A Merchandising Representative May Also Interact With Customers And Assist With Inquiries Or Concerns.
