As a Lawn & Garden Associate, you will play a crucial role in assisting our customers with their outdoor projects and ensuring they have a positive shopping experience.   1. Assist customers in finding the right tools and resources for their lawn and garden needs.
  2. Provide expert knowledge and advice on various lawn and garden products and techniques.
  3. Maintain a clean and organized department, ensuring all products are properly stocked and displayed.
  4. Operate cash registers and handle transactions accurately.
  5. Collaborate with team members to ensure excellent customer service and a positive shopping experience.
  6. Keep up-to-date with current industry trends and new products in the lawn and garden market.
  7. Perform regular maintenance and upkeep of the outdoor area, including watering plants and maintaining displays.
  8. Assist with receiving and stocking of new products.
  9. Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  10. Continuously strive to meet and exceed sales goals and targets.
  11. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
  12. Attend training sessions and meetings to stay updated on product knowledge and company policies.
  13. Maintain a friendly and positive attitude towards customers and team members.

  • Knowledge Of Lawn And Garden Products: A Successful Lawn And Garden Associate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Various Lawn And Garden Products Such As Fertilizers, Seeds, Plants, And Gardening Tools.

  • Customer Service Skills: As A Customer-Facing Role, A Lawn And Garden Associate Should Possess Excellent Customer Service Skills, Including The Ability To Communicate Effectively, Solve Problems, And Provide Friendly And Helpful Assistance To Customers.

  • Physical Stamina: This Job Requires A Significant Amount Of Physical Activity, Including Lifting Heavy Objects, Stocking Shelves, And Assisting Customers With Loading And Unloading Products. Candidates Should Have The Physical Stamina To Perform These Tasks.

  • Plant Care And Maintenance Skills: A Lawn And Garden Associate Should Have A Basic Understanding Of Plant Care And Maintenance, Including Watering, Pruning, And Pest Control. This Knowledge Is Essential For Providing Customers With Accurate Advice And Recommendations.
