- Open and close the store on scheduled days, ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately and on time.
- Manage inventory levels and regularly conduct inventory checks to ensure accurate stock levels.
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing excellent customer service.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns in a timely and efficient manner.
- Train and supervise staff members on customer service protocols and store procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including shelving, displays, and merchandise.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as safety and security measures.
- Process cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Monitor and report any discrepancies or issues with inventory, cash, or store operations to management.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement strategies to increase sales and improve customer satisfaction.
- Stay up-to-date on product knowledge and promotions to effectively assist customers with their needs.
- Assist with receiving and stocking merchandise, including pricing, tagging, and displaying items.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to loss prevention.
- Act as a role model for other team members by maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Previous Retail Experience: A Successful Key Holder At Ace Hardware Should Have Previous Experience Working In A Retail Environment, Preferably In A Hardware Store. This Will Ensure They Are Familiar With The Products And Customer Needs.
Excellent Communication Skills: As A Key Holder, One Must Effectively Communicate With Both Customers And Other Team Members. This Includes Providing Product Knowledge, Resolving Customer Complaints, And Delegating Tasks To Other Employees.
Strong Leadership Abilities: A Key Holder Must Be Able To Lead And Manage A Team Of Employees. This Requires Strong Leadership Skills Such As Decision-Making, Problem-Solving, And The Ability To Motivate And Coach Others.
Knowledge Of Store Operations: A Key Holder Should Have A Good Understanding Of Store Operations Including Inventory Management, Cash Handling, And Opening/Closing Procedures. This Will Ensure They Can Effectively Oversee The Store In The Absence Of A Manager.
Dependability And Reliability: As A Key Holder, One Must Be Dependable And Reliable. This Includes Showing Up On Time For Scheduled Shifts, Being Able To Work Flexible Hours, And Being Available To Cover Shifts In Case Of Emergencies.
