- Greet and welcome customers with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, addressing concerns, and assisting with purchases
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale system
- Maintain a clean and organized cashier station and sales floor
- Assist customers in finding products and making recommendations based on their needs
- Restock merchandise and ensure shelves are properly labeled and priced
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols
- Collaborate with team members to meet sales goals and provide a positive shopping experience for customers
- Continuously develop product knowledge to better assist customers and make informed recommendations
- Handle customer complaints and escalate to management when necessary
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times, even during busy or stressful situations
- Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment as needed
- Attend training sessions and staff meetings to stay updated on company policies, products, and procedures.
Excellent Customer Service Skills: A Cashier/Sales Floor Associate At Ace Hardware Should Have Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Provide Exceptional Service To Customers.
Knowledge Of Hardware Products: This Position Requires A Good Understanding Of Hardware Products Such As Tools, Building Materials, And Home Improvement Supplies To Assist Customers With Their Purchases.
Cash Handling Experience: As A Cashier, Candidates Should Have Experience Handling Cash, Credit, And Debit Transactions Accurately And Efficiently.
Attention To Detail: A Successful Cashier/Sales Floor Associate Must Be Detail-Oriented To Ensure The Accurate Pricing And Inventory Of Products, As Well As Handling Returns And Exchanges.
