- Support the Yard Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the hardware store.
- Manage and lead a team of employees to ensure efficient and effective workflow.
- Train and develop team members to provide exceptional customer service.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate stock is available for customers.
- Assist in creating and implementing strategies to drive sales and achieve store goals.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner.

- Collaborate with other department managers to ensure smooth store operations.

Knowledge Of Hardware Products: The Assistant Yard Manager Should Have A Good Understanding Of The Various Hardware Products Sold At Ace Hardware, Including Tools, Building Materials, Gardening Supplies, And Home Improvement Items.
Experience In Inventory Management: This Position Requires Experience In Managing Inventory Levels, Ordering Products, And Maintaining Accurate Stock Records. A Candidate With Previous Experience In A Similar Role Will Be Preferred.
Strong Communication Skills: As An Assistant Yard Manager, The Candidate Will Be Required To Interact With Customers, Vendors, And Other Employees On A Daily Basis. Therefore, Excellent Communication Skills, Both Verbal And Written, Are Essential For This Role.
Leadership Skills: The Assistant Yard Manager Will Be Responsible For Managing A Team Of Yard Associates, Delegating Tasks, And Ensuring That All Operations Run Smoothly. Therefore, Strong Leadership Skills Are Crucial For This Position.
Physical Stamina: This Role Involves Working In A Physically Demanding Environment, Including Lifting Heavy Objects, Standing For Long Periods, And Working Outdoors In Various Weather Conditions. The Candidate Should Have The Physical Stamina To Handle These Tasks Effectively.
