- Conduct thorough investigations of security incidents and breaches, utilizing a variety of tools and techniques to identify the source and extent of the threat.
- Analyze and interpret data and logs to uncover patterns and anomalies that could indicate potential security threats.
- Utilize digital forensics techniques to collect and preserve evidence related to security incidents.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement effective security strategies and protocols.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest cyber threats and trends to proactively identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and best practices for investigating and responding to security incidents.
- Participate in incident response exercises and simulations to test and improve the team's response capabilities.
- Act as a mentor and resource for junior team members, providing guidance and support in complex investigations.
- Continuously evaluate and improve security processes and procedures to enhance the overall security posture of the organization.
- Collaborate with external partners and law enforcement agencies as needed to address security incidents.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in handling sensitive information and conducting investigations.
- Develop and deliver training sessions to educate employees on security best practices and raise awareness of potential threats.
- Coordinate with other teams within the organization to ensure compliance with security policies and standards.
- Participate in on-call rotations and be available for emergency response situations outside of regular business hours.
Extensive Experience In Conducting Security Investigations: The Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Conducting Security Investigations, Preferably In A Corporate Or Consulting Environment.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Cifr (Confidentiality, Integrity, Flexibility, And Reliability) Framework: The Candidate Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of The Cifr Framework And Its Application In Security Investigations. This Includes Knowledge Of Industry Standards And Best Practices For Data Protection And Incident Response.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: The Role Of A Security Cifr Senior Investigator Requires The Ability To Analyze Complex Security Incidents And Identify The Root Cause. The Candidate Should Be Able To Think Critically And Provide Effective Solutions To Mitigate Risks And Prevent Future Incidents.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Senior Investigator, The Candidate Will Be Required To Communicate Findings And Recommendations To Various Stakeholders, Including Clients, Senior Management, And Internal Teams. Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For Effectively Conveying Technical Information To Non-Technical Individuals.
Relevant Certifications: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess Relevant Certifications, Such As Certified Information Systems Security Professional (Cissp), Certified Information Security Manager (Cism), Or Certified Information Systems Auditor (Cisa), To Demonstrate Their Expertise In The Field Of Cybersecurity And Investigations.
