As a key member of our Mainframe Operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our clients' mainframe systems, while also providing top-notch service management.   1. Monitor and maintain the mainframe systems of clients to ensure uninterrupted and efficient functioning.
  2. Perform routine checks and troubleshooting of mainframe systems to identify and resolve any technical issues.
  3. Coordinate with system programmers and other teams to ensure timely resolution of any mainframe system problems.
  4. Proactively identify potential issues and implement preventive measures to avoid disruptions in mainframe operations.
  5. Manage and maintain system logs, reports, and backups to ensure data integrity and availability.
  6. Provide top-notch service management to clients, ensuring timely and effective communication of system updates and issues.
  7. Collaborate with other team members to continuously improve and optimize mainframe operations processes.
  8. Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in mainframe technology to enhance system performance and efficiency.
  9. Train and mentor junior team members on mainframe operations and service management.
  10. Adhere to security protocols and maintain strict confidentiality of clients' data.
  11. Prepare and present regular reports on mainframe system performance and service management metrics.
  12. Communicate and coordinate with clients to understand their requirements and provide customized solutions.
  13. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  14. Participate in on-call rotation and be available for emergency support as needed.
  15. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the team.

Job Qualifications
  • Experience Operating And Managing Mainframe Systems: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Background In Operating And Managing Mainframe Systems, Including Experience With Ibm Z/Os, Jes2, And Tso/E. They Should Also Be Familiar With Mainframe Hardware Components Such As Processors, Memory, And Dasd.

  • Knowledge Of Mainframe-Related Tools And Technologies: Candidates Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Mainframe-Related Tools And Technologies, Such As Ca-7, Ca-11, And Ca-View. They Should Also Be Familiar With Automation Tools Like Rexx, Clist, And Jcl.

  • Understanding Of Service Management Processes: The Candidate Should Have A Good Understanding Of Service Management Processes, Including Incident, Problem, And Change Management. They Should Also Be Familiar With Itil Best Practices And Have Experience Working In An Itil-Driven Environment.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: As A Mainframe Online Console Operator And Service Management Professional, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Monitoring And Troubleshooting Mainframe Systems And Resolving Issues As They Arise. Therefore, Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills Are Crucial For This Role.

  • Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills: Working As Part Of A Team Is An Essential Aspect Of This Role. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Excellent Communication Skills And The Ability To Collaborate Effectively With Other Team Members, As Well As With Clients And Stakeholders.
