  1. Monitor and maintain the online console of mainframe systems to ensure smooth operation and timely resolution of any issues that may arise.
  2. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as system backups, software updates, and system checks to ensure optimal performance of mainframe systems.
  3. Proactively identify and troubleshoot any potential issues with mainframe systems, and escalate to appropriate teams for timely resolution.
  4. Respond to service management requests and incidents in a timely manner, adhering to established service level agreements.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement solutions for any recurring technical issues, and make recommendations for process improvements.
  6. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of mainframe system activities, including incident reports, system logs, and performance metrics.
  7. Stay updated on the latest technology trends and advancements in mainframe systems, and make recommendations for process improvements and system enhancements.
  8. Provide excellent customer service to clients, responding to inquiries and providing technical support as needed.
  9. Adhere to company policies and procedures, including security protocols and data privacy regulations.
  10. Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and continuous learning opportunities to enhance technical skills and knowledge.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge Of Mainframe Systems: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Mainframe Systems And Operating Procedures, Including Z/Os, Jcl, Cics, And Db2.

  • Experience In Online Console Operations: The Candidate Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In Online Console Operations, Including Monitoring And Managing System Performance, Executing Batch Jobs, And Troubleshooting System Issues.

  • Service Management Skills: The Candidate Should Possess Strong Service Management Skills, Including Incident Management, Problem Management, And Change Management. Experience With Itil Best Practices Is Preferred.

  • Communication And Teamwork: The Candidate Should Have Excellent Communication Skills And The Ability To Work Effectively In A Team Environment. This Role Requires Collaborating With Various Teams, Including Application Support, Infrastructure, And Security Teams.

  • Problem-Solving Abilities: The Candidate Should Have Strong Problem-Solving Skills And The Ability To Think Critically Under Pressure. They Should Be Able To Quickly Identify And Resolve System Issues To Minimize Downtime And Ensure Smooth Operations.
