Mainframe Developer

Accenture is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Mainframe Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in programming and technology and be an excellent communicator and problem solver.We are looking for someone who has a strong understanding of the mainframe environment and the ability to develop and maintain applications. The successful candidate must have a minimum of 5 years' experience as a Mainframe Developer and proven experience with COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS. It is essential that applicants have a good knowledge of system analysis and design and the ability to write efficient code as well as debug any errors.We are looking for someone who is organized and reliable, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The successful applicant should have the aptitude to learn quickly and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. An understanding of Agile methodology and experience with DevOps is also beneficial.

Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS.
2. Analyze system requirements and create efficient code to meet business objectives.
3. Debug any errors in code and applications.
4. Work independently and collaboratively as part of a development team.
5. Comply with Agile methodology and DevOps practices.
6. Manage and prioritize tasks and workload.
7. Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in mainframe development.
8. Provide technical support and guidance to other developers.
9. Communicate effectively with stakeholders and other team members.
10. Develop and maintain documentation for applications.
