- Manage and maintain the performance and reliability of clients' Epic databases.
- Ensure the security and integrity of clients' Epic databases.
- Monitor and troubleshoot database issues, providing timely resolution to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement database strategies and best practices.
- Perform database upgrades and migrations as needed.
- Develop and maintain documentation for database processes and procedures.
- Monitor and analyze database performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in Epic database management.
- Communicate with clients to understand their database needs and provide solutions.
- Train and mentor junior database administrators.
- Develop and implement disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
- Collaborate with other technical teams to ensure seamless integration with other systems.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations.
- Participate in on-call rotation to provide database support outside of normal business hours.
- Continuously review and improve database processes and procedures to optimize performance and efficiency.
Expertise In Epic Database Management: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding And Extensive Experience In Managing Epic Databases, Including System Design, Configuration, And Optimization.
Knowledge Of Epic Applications: A Strong Understanding Of All Epic Applications And Their Interdependencies Is Essential For This Role. This Includes Experience With Epic Modules Such As Epiccare Ambulatory, Inpatient, And Revenue Cycle.
Experience With Database Administration Tools: The Candidate Should Have Hands-On Experience With Database Administration Tools Such As Sql Server And Oracle, As Well As Experience In Performance Tuning And Troubleshooting.
Epic Certification: Preferred Candidates Should Have At Least One Epic Certification In A Relevant Module, Such As Chronicles Database Administration Or Cache Database Administration.
Communication And Collaboration Skills: As An Epic Operational Database Administrator, The Candidate Will Work Closely With Cross-Functional Teams, Including Application Analysts, Infrastructure Teams, And Business Stakeholders. Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills Are Essential For Success In This Role.
