- Manage and maintain all aspects of DB2 Mainframe databases, including installation, configuration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, and security.
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement database solutions that meet business requirements.
- Develop and maintain database documentation, including data standards, procedures, and guidelines.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in DB2 Mainframe database administration.
- Provide guidance and support to junior database administrators.

Proficiency In Db2 Mainframe Database Administration: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Extensive Experience In Administering Db2 Databases On Mainframe Platforms. They Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Db2 Architecture And Be Able To Perform Tasks Such As Installation, Configuration, Backup And Recovery, Performance Tuning, And Troubleshooting.
Knowledge Of Mainframe Systems: A Strong Understanding Of Mainframe Systems And Their Underlying Architecture Is Essential For This Role. The Candidate Should Be Familiar With Z/Os, Jcl, Tso/Ispf, And Other Mainframe Tools And Utilities.
Experience With Data Modeling And Design: The Db2 Mainframe Database Administrator Should Have Experience In Data Modeling And Database Design. They Should Be Able To Create And Modify Database Structures, Define Data Relationships, And Optimize Data Storage For Performance And Efficiency.
Strong Sql And Programming Skills: The Ideal Candidate Should Be Proficient In Sql And Have Experience With Programming Languages Such As Cobol, Pl/I, Or Assembler. They Should Be Able To Write Complex Sql Queries And Develop Stored Procedures, Triggers, And User-Defined Functions.
