- Oversee and manage the company's fleet of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and specialized equipment
- Develop and implement strategies to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the fleet
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle inventory, maintenance schedules, and expenses
- Monitor and track fleet performance, including fuel consumption, maintenance costs, and overall efficiency
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance checks to ensure all vehicles are in proper working condition
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers to schedule and perform vehicle repairs and maintenance
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to fleet operations
- Develop and manage budgets for fleet expenses, including fuel, maintenance, and repairs
- Recruit, train, and manage a team of fleet technicians and drivers
- Provide guidance and support to drivers on safe driving practices and proper vehicle care and maintenance
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the fleet
- Stay current on industry trends and advancements in fleet management technology and practices
- Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement and finance, to ensure fleet needs are met and budgets are aligned
- Act as a liaison between the company and external stakeholders, such as insurance providers and regulatory agencies
- Uphold the company's standards and values, promoting a culture of safety, excellence, and customer service within the fleet management team.
A Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Fleet Management, Preferably In A Similar Industry.
Strong Knowledge Of Fleet Operations, Including Maintenance, Budgeting, And Regulatory Compliance.
Excellent Leadership And Communication Skills To Effectively Manage A Team Of Drivers And Technicians.
Proficient In Using Fleet Management Software And Other Technology Tools To Track And Analyze Fleet Data.
A Valid Commercial Driver's License (Cdl) And Knowledge Of Dot Regulations.
