- Coordinate and oversee the maintenance and operations of all facilities managed by ABM Industries.
- Ensure that all facilities are in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement efficient and effective maintenance and repair procedures for all facilities.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify any potential issues and address them in a timely manner.
- Manage and prioritize work orders and maintenance requests from clients and internal departments.
- Proactively identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to reduce facility maintenance costs.
- Communicate and collaborate with vendors, contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely and quality completion of maintenance and repair projects.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all facility maintenance activities and expenses.
- Monitor and manage facility budgets, including tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving measures.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients to ensure their satisfaction with facility management services.
- Train and supervise facility maintenance staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Stay informed about new developments and advancements in facility management and incorporate them into daily operations.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as safety and environmental regulations.
- Participate in meetings and provide regular reports to management on facility maintenance activities and progress.
- Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and implement best practices to enhance facility operations.
Strong Organizational Skills: A Facilities Coordinator At Abm Industries Must Be Able To Effectively Manage And Prioritize Tasks Related To Building Maintenance, Repairs, And Vendor Management. This Requires Excellent Organizational Skills And Attention To Detail.
Knowledge Of Building Systems And Maintenance: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Building Systems Such As Hvac, Plumbing, Electrical, And Fire Safety. This Knowledge Will Ensure They Can Effectively Oversee Maintenance And Repair Work And Respond To Any Emergencies That May Arise.
Experience With Vendor Management: The Facilities Coordinator Will Be Responsible For Managing Relationships With External Vendors And Contractors. Therefore, They Should Have Experience In Vendor Management, Including Negotiating Contracts And Ensuring Work Is Completed To A High Standard And Within Budget.
Communication Skills: As A Key Point Of Contact For Building Occupants, The Facilities Coordinator Must Have Strong Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal. They Should Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Tenants, Contractors, And Other Stakeholders To Ensure Smooth Operations And Resolve Any Issues That May Arise.
