- Supervise and manage a team of custodial staff to ensure that all assigned tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Develop and implement cleaning and maintenance schedules to ensure that all areas of the facility are consistently clean and well-maintained.
- Train and onboard new custodial staff, ensuring they understand company policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ordering replacements as needed.
- Conduct regular inspections of the facility to ensure that high standards of cleanliness and safety are consistently met.
- Respond to and resolve any customer complaints or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Create and maintain a positive and productive work environment for custodial staff, promoting teamwork and open communication.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols, and ensure that all staff are following them as well.
- Collaborate with other department managers to identify and implement process improvements for increased efficiency and cost savings.
- Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in custodial management, and incorporate new techniques and technologies as appropriate.
Previous Supervisory Experience: Candidates Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In A Supervisory Role, Preferably In A Custodial Or Janitorial Setting. This Experience Should Include Managing A Team, Developing Work Schedules, And Overseeing Day-To-Day Operations.
Knowledge Of Custodial Practices And Equipment: A Thorough Understanding Of Custodial Procedures, Including Proper Cleaning Techniques, Use Of Chemicals, And Equipment Maintenance, Is Essential For A Custodial Supervisor. This Knowledge Will Ensure That The Supervisor Can Effectively Train And Monitor Their Team.
Strong Leadership And Communication Skills: The Ability To Effectively Communicate With And Motivate A Team Is Crucial For A Custodial Supervisor. They Should Be Able To Delegate Tasks, Provide Constructive Feedback, And Resolve Conflicts In A Professional And Efficient Manner.
Time Management And Organizational Skills: As The Leader Of A Custodial Team, The Supervisor Must Be Able To Effectively Manage Their Time And Prioritize Tasks. They Should Also Be Well-Organized To Ensure That All Cleaning Tasks Are Completed Efficiently And On Schedule.
