  1. Perform routine maintenance tasks on building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
  2. Conduct regular inspections of building systems to identify potential issues and address them in a timely manner.
  3. Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner.
  4. Troubleshoot and repair any equipment malfunctions.
  5. Ensure that all building systems are operating at peak efficiency and make recommendations for improvements.
  6. Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement preventative maintenance plans.
  7. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed.
  8. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols.
  9. Communicate effectively with clients and provide exceptional customer service.
  10. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in building maintenance technology.
  11. Train and mentor junior team members.
  12. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  13. Manage inventory and order necessary supplies and equipment.
  14. Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  15. Continuously seek opportunities to improve and enhance the building maintenance services provided to clients.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree In Engineering: A Building Engineer At Abm Industries Should Possess At Least A Bachelor's Degree In Engineering, Preferably In Mechanical, Electrical, Or Civil Engineering.

  • Relevant Work Experience: Abm Industries Prefers Candidates With A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Building Maintenance, Operations, Or Engineering. Prior Experience In Hvac, Plumbing, And Electrical Systems Is Highly Desirable.

  • Knowledge Of Building Codes And Regulations: The Ideal Candidate Should Be Familiar With Building Codes And Regulations, Including Osha, Nfpa, And Ashrae. This Knowledge Is Essential For Ensuring Compliance And Maintaining A Safe Working Environment.

  • Technical Skills: Building Engineers At Abm Industries Should Have A Strong Technical Background And Be Proficient In Using Computer-Aided Design (Cad) Software, As Well As Building Automation Systems (Bas) And Energy Management Systems (Ems).

  • Communication And Problem-Solving Skills: Building Engineers Must Have Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Interact With Clients, Contractors, And Team Members. They Should Also Possess Strong Problem-Solving Skills To Address Any Issues That May Arise During Building Maintenance And Operations.
