  2. Utilize technical expertise and knowledge of medical device software development to improve the lives of patients.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions for medical devices.
  4. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in medical device software development.
  5. Take ownership of projects and ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
  6. Conduct thorough testing and debugging of software to ensure reliability and functionality.
  7. Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and management to provide updates, address issues, and propose solutions.
  8. Mentor and guide junior engineers in the team.
  9. Adhere to industry standards and regulations for medical device software development.
  10. Continuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  11. Work closely with project managers to develop project plans and meet project milestones.
  12. Conduct risk assessments and implement risk mitigation strategies for software development.
  13. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  14. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
  15. Collaborate with external vendors and partners as needed.
  16. Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  17. Contribute to the development of life-saving treatments and make a positive impact on patients' lives.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Medical Device Development: A Senior Software Engineer At Abbvie Should Have A Minimum Of 7 Years Of Experience In Developing Software For Medical Devices. This Includes A Strong Understanding Of Fda Regulations And Compliance Requirements.

  • Proficiency In Software Programming And Development: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Advanced Skills In Programming Languages Such As C++, Python, And Java. They Should Also Have Experience With Software Development Tools And Methodologies, Such As Agile And Scrum.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Device Standards And Regulations: A Senior Software Engineer Should Be Well-Versed In The Latest Medical Device Standards And Regulations, Including Iso 13485 And Iec 60601. They Should Also Have Experience With Risk Management And Design Control Processes.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: As A Key Member Of The Software Development Team, A Senior Software Engineer Should Possess Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills. They Should Be Able To Identify And Resolve Complex Technical Issues In A Timely And Efficient Manner.

  • Team Leadership And Communication: A Senior Software Engineer Should Have Experience Leading Cross-Functional Teams And Working Collaboratively With Other Departments, Such As Quality Assurance And Regulatory Affairs. They Should Also Have Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Communicate Complex Technical Information To Non-Technical Stakeholders.
