- Lead the development and execution of protein analytical characterization strategies to support the advancement of AbbVie's biologics pipeline.
- Utilize your extensive knowledge and experience in protein analytical techniques to solve complex scientific problems and provide technical expertise to the team.
- Design and implement experiments to characterize biologics, including but not limited to mass spectrometry, chromatography, and spectroscopy.
- Analyze and interpret data, and present results to cross-functional teams and senior management.
- Stay current with advancements in protein analytical techniques and identify and implement new technologies to enhance the team's capabilities.
- Collaborate with colleagues in other functional areas, such as discovery, process development, and regulatory affairs, to provide analytical support and ensure successful development and commercialization of biologic products.
- Manage and mentor junior scientists, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional growth and development.
- Maintain a safe and compliant laboratory environment by following all safety protocols and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
- Contribute to the writing of technical reports, regulatory documents, and scientific publications.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, promoting open communication and knowledge sharing.
- Adhere to project timelines and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Represent the Protein Analytical Characterization team in cross-functional meetings and present updates on project progress.

Advanced Degree In Biochemistry Or Related Field: A Senior Scientist Ii, Protein Analytical Characterization At Abbvie Should Possess A Phd Or Equivalent In Biochemistry, Biophysics, Chemistry, Or A Related Field. This Advanced Degree Provides The Necessary Academic Foundation For Understanding Protein Structure And Function.
Extensive Experience In Protein Analytical Characterization: The Ideal Candidate For This Position Should Have At Least 5-7 Years Of Experience In Protein Analytical Characterization, Including Expertise In Techniques Such As Liquid Chromatography, Mass Spectrometry, And Protein-Protein Interaction Analysis.
Strong Understanding Of Protein Structure And Function: A Senior Scientist Ii Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Protein Structure And Function In Order To Effectively Design And Implement Analytical Experiments. This Includes Knowledge Of Protein Folding, Post-Translational Modifications, And Protein-Ligand Interactions.
