- Lead the development and implementation of innovative engineering technologies and processes to support AbbVie's manufacturing operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Operations, and Quality, to identify and address manufacturing challenges.
- Utilize technical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.
- Stay current with industry advancements and trends in engineering and pharmaceutical manufacturing to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, protocols, and protocols for engineering activities.
- Oversee the planning and execution of engineering projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget and quality standards.
- Mentor and train junior engineers and scientists to build a high-performing and cohesive team.
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with external vendors for equipment and technology procurement.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Communicate project updates and results to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes and efficiency.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies for cost reduction and process optimization.
- Collaborate with quality assurance and control to ensure product quality and safety.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement risk mitigation strategies for engineering activities.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all engineering activities.
- Participate in the evaluation and selection of new technologies and equipment.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for engineering-related topics.
- Promote a culture of safety and compliance within the engineering team and across the organization.
- Represent AbbVie at industry conferences and events to maintain awareness of industry developments and share best practices.
- Actively contribute to the development and improvement of the TechOps team's processes and procedures.
Advanced Degree In Engineering Or Related Field (E.g. Phd Or Ms)
Minimum Of 10 Years Experience In Engineering Roles, Preferably In The Pharmaceutical Or Biotechnology Industry
Proven Track Record Of Successful Project Management, Including Leading Cross-Functional Teams And Delivering Results On Time And Within Budget
Extensive Knowledge And Experience In Technology Operations And Manufacturing Processes, Including Process Validation And Scale-Up
Strong Problem-Solving And Analytical Skills, With The Ability To Design And Implement Innovative Solutions To Complex Technical Challenges.
