Lead and drive the research efforts for cutting-edge drug discovery and development projects.
Develop and implement innovative strategies to advance projects and achieve corporate goals.
Conduct high-quality and impactful research, utilizing your strong background in pharmaceutical research.
Utilize your expertise to identify and evaluate potential drug targets, compounds, and technologies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute experiments, analyze data, and interpret results.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, advancements, and regulatory requirements.
Mentor and guide junior scientists in the team, providing scientific and technical guidance.
Present research findings and project updates to internal and external stakeholders.
Identify and troubleshoot potential issues, and propose solutions to ensure project success.
Contribute to the writing and submission of scientific publications and patents.
Maintain accurate and timely records of research activities and results.
Stay updated on the latest technologies and techniques relevant to drug discovery and development.
Collaborate with external partners and vendors to leverage their expertise and resources for project advancement.
Adhere to all safety and compliance regulations and company policies.
Act as a key player in driving the success of the company's mission to develop life-saving treatments.

Job Qualifications

Advanced Degree In A Relevant Scientific Field: A Senior Principal Research Scientist Should Possess A Phd Or Equivalent Degree In A Scientific Discipline Such As Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Or Molecular Biology.
Extensive Experience In Drug Discovery And Development: This Position Requires A Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In The Pharmaceutical Industry, With A Strong Track Record Of Successful Drug Discovery And/Or Development Projects.
Proven Leadership And Management Skills: As A Senior Level Position, The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience Leading And Managing Teams Of Scientists, As Well As The Ability To Effectively Communicate And Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams.
Expertise In A Specific Therapeutic Area: Abbvie Is A Research-Driven Biopharmaceutical Company With A Focus On Several Therapeutic Areas, Including Immunology, Oncology, And Neuroscience. The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of And Experience In One Or More Of These Areas.
Strong Publication Record And Scientific Accomplishments: A Senior Principal Research Scientist Should Have A Strong Publication Record, With A History Of Publishing In High-Impact Journals And Presenting At Scientific Conferences. The Ideal Candidate Should Also Have A Track Record Of Scientific Accomplishments, Such As Patents Or Awards.
