Lead the development and execution of innovative research projects focused on discovering new pharmaceutical therapies.
Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in the field of pharmacy and apply this knowledge to drive scientific breakthroughs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify potential drug targets and develop strategies for drug discovery.
Design and conduct experiments to evaluate the efficacy and safety of potential drug candidates.
Analyze and interpret data to draw meaningful conclusions and make recommendations for further research.
Manage and mentor a team of research scientists, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project outcomes.
Communicate research findings and progress to internal stakeholders, including senior management and cross-functional teams.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines, and maintain accurate and detailed records of experimental procedures and results.
Continuously improve processes and techniques to enhance the efficiency and productivity of the research team.
Participate in scientific conferences and present research findings to the broader scientific community.
Work collaboratively with external partners and academic institutions to leverage expertise and resources for drug discovery and development.
Act as a subject matter expert in the field of pharmacy, providing guidance and insights to support decision-making and strategic planning.

Job Qualifications

Advanced Degree In Pharmaceutical Sciences Or A Related Field: The Ideal Candidate For This Position Should Possess An Advanced Degree (E.g. Phd, Pharmd) In Pharmaceutical Sciences Or A Related Field. This Will Demonstrate A Strong Foundation In Drug Development And Research.
Extensive Research Experience: The Candidate For This Role Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Drug Discovery And Development, With A Focus On Pharmacy Research. This Includes Experience In Preclinical And Clinical Research, As Well As A Track Record Of Successful Publications And Patents.
Strong Leadership Skills: As A Principal Research Scientist, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Leading And Managing A Team Of Scientists. Therefore, Strong Leadership Skills, Including The Ability To Motivate, Mentor, And Guide Team Members, Are Essential For This Role.
Expertise In Drug Delivery Systems: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding And Expertise In Drug Delivery Systems, Including Different Routes Of Administration, Formulations, And Drug Delivery Technologies. This Will Enable Them To Design And Develop Innovative Drug Delivery Systems For New And Existing Drugs.
Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills: The Principal Research Scientist Will Be Working Closely With Cross-Functional Teams, Including Scientists, Clinicians, And External Partners. Therefore, Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills Are Critical For This Role To Effectively Communicate Research Findings And Drive Projects Forward.
