Lead and manage critical projects within the pharmaceutical industry, utilizing your expertise in analytical chemistry.
Research and develop innovative methods and techniques for drug analysis and characterization.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the advancement of life-changing medicines.
Implement new technologies and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness of analytical R&D.
Stay up-to-date with industry developments and trends, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation within the organization.
Write and review technical reports, protocols, and other documentation to support project goals.
Train and mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support in their development.
Communicate and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including presenting data and results at conferences and meetings.
Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal quality standards.
Proactively identify and troubleshoot potential issues, proposing and implementing solutions to ensure project success.

Job Qualifications

Advanced Degree In Chemistry Or Related Field: A Principal Research Scientist Is Expected To Have A Strong Educational Background In Chemistry Or A Related Field To Understand And Lead Analytical Research And Development Projects.
Extensive Experience In Analytical R&D: Abbvie Is Looking For A Candidate With At Least 10 Years Of Experience In Analytical Research And Development, Preferably In The Pharmaceutical Industry. This Experience Should Include A Deep Understanding Of Various Analytical Techniques And Their Applications.
Leadership And Project Management Skills: This Role Requires The Ability To Lead And Manage A Team Of Scientists And Technicians, As Well As Oversee Multiple Projects At Once. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience In Effectively Managing Timelines, Budgets, And Resources To Drive Successful Project Outcomes.
Strong Problem-Solving And Critical Thinking Skills: The Ability To Identify And Solve Complex Analytical Challenges Is Essential For A Principal Research Scientist At Abbvie. This Includes The Ability To Think Critically, Troubleshoot Issues, And Develop Innovative Solutions.
Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills: A Principal Research Scientist Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate Complex Scientific Information To Both Technical And Non-Technical Stakeholders. Additionally, The Ability To Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And External Partners Is Critical For Success In This Role.
