Lead and manage a team of Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) within the Dermatology division in the Southeast region.
Develop and implement strategic plans to drive the success of AbbVie's dermatology products.
Stay up-to-date on the latest developments and advancements in dermatology and effectively communicate this information to the team.
Act as a subject matter expert on AbbVie's dermatology products and provide guidance and support to the MSL team.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals in the field of dermatology.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and sales, to develop and execute educational programs and initiatives.
Monitor and analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities and challenges for AbbVie's dermatology products.
Develop and maintain a high level of scientific and technical expertise in dermatology, including clinical trial data, disease states, and treatment options.
Train and mentor new MSLs on AbbVie's products and therapeutic areas.
Represent AbbVie at scientific conferences, symposiums, and other industry events.
Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as industry regulations and guidelines.
Continuously evaluate and improve the performance of the MSL team, providing feedback and coaching as needed.
Collaborate with colleagues and share best practices to drive the success of the MSL team and the dermatology division as a whole.
Contribute to the development of medical and scientific materials, including publications, presentations, and training materials.
Act as a liaison between the MSL team and other internal departments, such as medical affairs, marketing, and sales.

Job Qualifications

Advanced Degree: A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Or Related Field Is Required For This Role. This Educational Background Provides The Necessary Foundation For Understanding The Scientific And Medical Aspects Of The Products And Therapies In Abbvie's Dermatology Portfolio.
Extensive Experience In Dermatology: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 8-10 Years Of Experience In The Pharmaceutical Or Biotech Industry, With A Focus On Dermatology. This Includes Both Msl Experience As Well As Experience In Sales, Marketing, Or Other Field-Based Roles.
Leadership And Management Skills: As A Field Director, This Role Will Require Strong Leadership And Management Skills To Effectively Lead And Develop A Team Of Msls In The Southeast Region. Previous Experience In A Leadership Role, As Well As The Ability To Motivate And Mentor A Team, Are Key Qualifications For This Position.
Knowledge Of Regulatory And Compliance Guidelines: Abbvie Operates In A Highly Regulated Industry, And It Is Essential That The Field Director Has A Thorough Understanding Of All Relevant Regulatory And Compliance Guidelines Related To The Pharmaceutical Industry In General, And Specifically In The Dermatology Therapeutic Area.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Msl Field Director Will Need To Effectively Communicate With A Variety Of Stakeholders, Including Healthcare Professionals, Internal Teams, And Key Opinion Leaders. Therefore, Exceptional Communication And Interpersonal Skills, Along With The Ability To Build And Maintain Relationships, Are Crucial For Success In This Role.
