Provide medical expertise: The Medical Advisor will be responsible for utilizing their in-depth knowledge and understanding of Neuroscience to provide expert medical guidance and support for the development of innovative treatments.
Strategic guidance: This role will involve developing and implementing strategic plans for the Neuroscience portfolio, taking into consideration the current landscape and future trends in the field.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams: The Medical Advisor will work closely with cross-functional teams including clinical development, commercial, and regulatory to ensure alignment and drive the successful development and launch of new treatments.
Stay updated on industry developments: It is essential for the Medical Advisor to stay up-to-date on the latest developments and advancements in the field of Neuroscience in order to provide informed guidance and make strategic decisions.
Provide medical input for clinical trials: This role will involve providing medical input and support for clinical trial designs and protocols, as well as analyzing and interpreting data to make recommendations for further development.
Participate in scientific meetings and conferences: The Medical Advisor will represent AbbVie at scientific meetings and conferences to stay informed on the latest research and to present data and findings related to the Neuroscience portfolio.
Develop relationships with key external stakeholders: This role will involve building and maintaining relationships with key external stakeholders such as healthcare professionals, patient advocacy groups, and opinion leaders to stay informed on patient needs and incorporate their insights into the development and launch of treatments.
Ensure compliance: The Medical Advisor will ensure that all activities and decisions are in compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
Contribute to the development of medical materials: This role may involve providing medical input and review for promotional and educational materials to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
Drive a patient-centric approach: The Medical Advisor will be dedicated to making a positive impact on patient lives and will work towards developing treatments that meet patient needs and improve their quality of life.

Job Qualifications

Advanced Medical Degree: A Medical Advisor - Neuroscience At Abbvie Should Possess An Advanced Medical Degree Such As An Md Or Phd In A Relevant Field, With A Focus On Neuroscience.
Strong Knowledge Of Neuroscience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Neuroscience, Including Current Research And Developments In The Field, As Well As An Ability To Stay Up-To-Date On Emerging Technologies And Treatments.
Clinical Experience: Previous Experience In Clinical Practice Or In A Medical Affairs Role Within The Pharmaceutical Industry Is Essential. This Will Demonstrate The Ability To Apply Medical Knowledge In A Practical Setting And Understand The Complexities Of Drug Development And Clinical Trials.
Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Medical Advisor, Strong Communication Skills Are Crucial In Order To Effectively Engage With Key Stakeholders Such As Kols, Healthcare Professionals, And Internal Teams. The Ability To Build Relationships, Collaborate, And Present Complex Medical Information In A Clear And Concise Manner Is Vital For Success In This Role.
Strategic Thinking And Decision-Making: A Successful Medical Advisor Must Possess Strong Strategic Thinking Abilities And Be Able To Make Informed Decisions Based On Scientific Evidence And Business Objectives.
