Develop and implement strategic plans to drive market access and government affairs initiatives for AbbVie products.
Lead and manage a team responsible for market access and government affairs activities, including setting goals, providing guidance and support, and evaluating performance.
Stay up-to-date with changes in healthcare policies and regulations at the global, national, and local levels and assess their impact on AbbVie products.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of market access and government affairs strategies with overall business goals.
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, payers, patient advocacy groups, and industry associations.
Represent AbbVie in policy discussions and negotiations with government agencies and other external stakeholders.
Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the competitive landscape and use this knowledge to inform and shape market access and government affairs strategies.
Monitor and analyze market access trends and provide insights and recommendations to support decision making.
Create and deliver presentations and training materials to internal and external stakeholders on market access and government affairs topics.
Proactively identify potential risks and issues related to market access and government affairs and develop mitigation plans.
Participate in relevant industry conferences and events to stay updated on market access and government affairs best practices and trends.
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies related to market access and government affairs activities.

Experience In Developing And Implementing Market Access Plans: A Successful Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record In Developing And Executing Market Access Strategies, Including Pricing, Reimbursement, And Access Programs, To Optimize Product Uptake And Commercial Success.
Excellent Communication And Stakeholder Management Skills: The Role Of A Lead, Market Access & Government Affairs Involves Working With A Diverse Range Of Stakeholders, Including Government Agencies, Payers, Patient Advocacy Groups, And Internal Cross-Functional Teams. The Candidate Should Have Exceptional Communication Skills And The Ability To Build And Maintain Strong Relationships With These Stakeholders.
Knowledge Of The Healthcare Landscape And Trends: In Addition To Understanding Market Access And Government Policies, The Candidate Should Also Have A Broad Knowledge Of The Healthcare Landscape, Including Key Trends, Challenges, And Opportunities. This Will Help In Identifying Potential Barriers And Developing Effective Strategies To Navigate Them.
